Bill & Wendy D - On their way to becoming millionaires

"Every time we go we are still learning something new" Playing the stock market is no longer a mind-boggling experience for this local couple who are on their way to becoming millionaires. Monica Sayer talks stocks with Bill and Wendy Davidson.

Twelve months ago, Bill and Wendy Davidson moved to the Sunshine Coast from Victoria with very little understanding of the stock market. To them, like most of us today, the stock market seemed like something that was restricted to mathematicians, a blur of graphs, charts and numbers. Today the couple is making their way to a secure future discovering ACOFE in the Weekender, and signing up.

Bill and Wendy Davidson attended a weekend workshop at the University of the Sunshine Coast with ACOFE and are now on their way to financial independence. Wendy says that some day soon they will be featured having made their first million in the stock market. "Its important to know how to use the stock market" Wendy says, "particularly now that we are going to have to do our own superannuation, now we know how to self fund our retirements."

The concept of waging your own hard earned money on the market is a daunting experience. "We take part in paper trading activities- practicing without real money at first and then embark into the market with a wealth of knowledge and support from ACOFE "Wendy says, "We're starting off slow but sure to make millions."

Wendy says that ACOFE have been extremely helpful, and provide a friendly and approachable environment. Through ACOFE the couple have learnt how to acknowledge risks and read the once mind-boggling charts and graphs.

Wendy says that anyone can join and benefit, not just those who are looking to retire early, it's a great way to make money. "There is a fourteen year old boy in our classes at the moment" she says, "he is sure to have a great future."

The Davidson's say ACOFE is a college that provides everyone who joins with skills for life and it's not hard to do. "You get as much out of them as you want to take" Wendy says. "It's up to you what you want to learn and it all works in with your lifestyle and commitments."

The Davidson's have come so far in their knowledge of the financial market since joining. "Every time we go we are still learning something new."
