I'm trying to calculate the exact reference price on a line. If I have a line with two touches on it, do I:

- Subtract the lesser high price from the greater high price
- then count the number of weeks from the first high price to the entry week
- and then multiply the difference from the first calculation by the number of weeks in the second
- then subtract that answer from the first high price which gives the reference price

eg attached.

im confused

are you trying to find the buy price? reference price is the point on the momentum line?

the reference price, yes the price on the momentum line. Just as you would on a FRL?

Hi Sue,

With a formation as short as this, you have reached the correct RV, but on a long one line a 12 - 18 mth FRL you may save a little time by using the calculation attached.

Wow I was quite a bit out where I'd drawn my line, it goes to show how valuable calculating the exact reference price is.
